Just a little bit about me….

Lately, I have been asked by my clients why I chose to become a photographer. I smile every time they ask because it was never a choice to become what I am. It was something I was born with. An intense desire and passion to interact on such a personal level with so many individuals, documenting and preserving the raw, gorgeous, true moments in their lives.
Never at the ripe young age of 23 did I see myself running my own business, but here I am. A completely self taught photographer with the drive and motivation to touch peoples lives with my images. As for my personality, I’m a corky, fun-loving, fearless woman always up for a new adventure. I earned a BA in Anthropology. (That degree and $1.25 will get you a cup of coffee). I am an animal lover through and through, which you will occasionally see as I photograph Max+Kona my well-fed house cats, and Oliver, my teeny tiny silk-haired terrier. I also owe the success of the business end of my photography to my partner-in-crime, and at times photo assistant/personal chauffeur/gear-carrier , Matthew. His continual love and support this past year has made it possible for me to focus 100% on my photography, which has enabled me to do some serious growing as an artist.
I am a lover of: light, harmony, organic materials, lavender, TOMS, Nikon, rustic barns, homemade raspberry jam, beach hair, flowing dresses, sun kissed skin, endless beaches, white coffee, sea foam green, trips to Florida, exotic cultures, traveling, and all things photography.
One of the best parts about being a photographer is knowing that I am never done learning, and I am constantly developing new skills to empower my work. I currently live in Tacoma, Washington. I photograph all over the beautiful Pacific North West, from the beaches and farms, to the mountains and cities, the creative and unique possibilities in this area are endless!
Looking forward to meeting you…
